Since its establishment in 1994 the cooperation “Agro-tida” has been dealing mainly in the field of the crop farming and its first priority has been the production of grain crops: wheat, corn, barley and oil-bearing sunflower. Wheat has the biggest share in the sowing (nearly 50%), followed by sunflower and corn with around a quarter each. Initially the cultivable farmlands were 6 000 da. For fourteen years the cultivable farmlands have increased to 30 000 da. This is a great opportunity to use in the best possible way the already existing and the newly bought machinery and equipment.

The company “Agrotida Ltd” was registered in 2002. The farm buildings are stationed on the territory of “First Farmyard” with а total area of 15 da. They include: a mechanical workshop, a repair shop, garages, a round storehouse, a weighing machine, a platform for agricultural machinery and silos, 4 000 tons, for preservation of grain.

Two projects on purchasing agricultural machinery were realized in line with the programme SAPARD in 2001 and 2002, and in 2004 was realized a project about constructing grain storage facilities.

For ten years the company has been dealing with production of hybrid sunflower seeds, “San Luka”, production of hybrid corn seeds “Knezha 509”, “Knezha 611”, “Knezha 613”, “Knezha 614”. In 2006 the company also added seeds of winter and spring rape to the sowing. At the same time it’s a distributor of hybrid rape of the German company “Saaten Union” and of “Raps Gbr”. After carrying out a number of demonstration tests, the most suitable hybrids to the climatic conditions in Bulgaria turned out to be the hybrids “Vectra”- winter rape and hybrids “Hunter”- spring rape.
